BASIC is an acronym for Beginner's All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code.

There have been many versions of BASIC.

The first version of BASIC was written in the 1950's. Since then it has undergone many revisions.

The current version is known as Visual Basic. Visual Basic enables you to write programs that run under Microsoft Windows.

Visual Basic is the interface for Adobe InDesign Scripting.
