Interior setup
My 4Runner is setup for camping and everyday use .Therefore my false floor/drawer ,Fridge, Auxiliary battery have all been designed to be easily removed in case I have to carry large objects or the rear window fails.
False Floor
This has recently been rebuilt so that it easier to remove (had problems with the old one when my rear window motor failed last year). It is mounted on a sheet of 10mm ply and is designed so the top easily unscrews and the whole system is held in place with turn buckles attached to the original tie- down brackets .A single drawer underneath hold s all my heavy recovery gear.
Auxiliary Battery
Installed in a battery box behind the R/H rear seat which is mounted by brackets using the built in child restraint mounting points. It has a LED voltage indicator as well as a low voltage cutout so that the Engel Fridge doesn't completely flatten the battery. It is connected to the Main Battery via a Heavy Duty Relay (installed in the Engine Compartment).
Engel Fridge
The 39 Litre Engel Fridge/freezer is mounted on the RHS .It is held in place by turn buckles using the built in tie down points.
