This is a link to the home page of my web site which explores the exclusive use of the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) for web pages. The site will include abridged versions of some of my presentations to user groups; tips for using Acrobat, PDF or Family Tree Maker; and some examples of ways I assist PC users with visual PDF mini-tutorials.
This is my only HTML page and it's only here to be listed in the Melbourne PC User Group members' web pages. To continue you must have the Adobe Reader installed in your browser. The Adobe Reader version 7 is preferred for Windows XP; and v.6 for Win98/Me; and v.5 for Win95/98FE. Some pages will have features that require versions 6 or 7. You can obtain the Reader from http://www.adobe.com or from a computer magazine CD. The latest version 7 is 7.0.8 but earlier versions can be updated with 7.0.5 followed by 7.0.7.
If the linked PDF web home page opens in the Reader outside your browser, the browser Acrobat plug-in is either missing or disabled, and the PDF has been downloaded to your computer instead. The site has been checked with IE 6, Netscape 7, Firefox Mozilla and Mozilla.
