Bezel Ring
This ring was infact the second project that everybody does in the jewlerly class at our lapidary club, it can be made to suit a Man or a Woman, I made mine as a gift for my Mother, so this is the female style ring. Later I made another one in the Masculine variety to donate to the club (third project is donated to the club) but did not get a photo of the second one.The diference is basically that the Male ring has some small plates soldered on top of the part of the ring where the silver forks out and joins the bezel. The bezel for those that don't know is the bit that holds the stone in.
The ring is made of stirling silver and the stone is a Tiger Eye. The photograph was taken some time after the ring was finished and had been worn around for a while, the best photo I could get turned out to be the one wher I was holding it.
I like the final result obtained in this project, hower, I really did not enjoy making it, I don't think I will be making another one of these any time in the near future.
