Critical care bed

Two weeks ago, my friend Ron had a heart attack. He was taken to an outer Melbourne Public Hospital. His wife and I sat at his side as he laid unconscious, attached to a machine that read his blood pressure and air etc.,
We were told that he had to have critical care nursing and that there was only one critical bed in all the state of Victoria. That one bed was at Geelong. Some eight hours later he was taken by ambulance to Geelong where he died five days later.
He had full cover with private Health Insurance, this meant nothing.
His wife and family were cut off from surport of their friends and extended family. That vital bed could have been Mildura even further away. Some thing must be done in regards to our Hospitals' funding. MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT.
