[ August 1st, 2001 ' Sent a few posts to the 'Heal Normality' Board over the past few days ... it's a good job I'm not attached to the whole approval/disapproval nonsense :) or I might worry that I come off looking rather flaky ... Though the links are worth checkin out ... that one at the Cosmic elf site advertises a book where supposedly 'you will find answers to questions that you didn't even know to ask' ... Which reminded me of that Matrix V publication which I sent to the crew ... and I do tend to think if the info within is THAT 'revolutionary' why not just send it out via the web and not seek the illusory 'profit' under the existing monetary system ... hmmm ... And that yo-yo section is a timely reminder because I do seem to be once again bouncing off the walls ... and I suppose that's the huge danger in a world where severely dysfunctional behaviour is so commonplace - becoming re-infected is something to guard against ... And in this transition phase I'm not the only one who feels dislocated ... ill-at-ease ... wondering what the **** is going on with everybody ... More climatology sites Did you know? Earth's fidgeting climate Oh yes, the other book is of course The Visionary Human - updated version - continued total NON-access to Angelfire, so if you are reading these words, you either have fabulous ESP or I have changed some links to point to dreamwater instead of angelfire. Or ... angelfire has finally corrected its problems and allowed me to upload again ... ah, the joys of cyberspace ... In fact, it just dawns on me that I would have to alter each & every reference to 'Back to my home page' ... sheee! on each book excerpt, article, poem ... that's a whole lotta work ... :) Today's mantra: "Careful directions of the world. Careful dimensions of the lifetimes." [ August 2, 2001 ' More about climate wobble Causese of Climate Change Well, the canary seed mixture is proving quite popular with the birds. Up to 9 or ten small birds (finches?), 3 pigeons and half a dozen medium sized birds all at the one time. I must find a site of 'what bird is that?' for southern Australia. They seem to like the water in the dog's bowl too. I'll take a photo once i clean the windows. :) Finally some decent rain but we need a lot more to fill the reservoirs. Times like this make you realise how blase we Aussies are about many things. I mean this is the driest continent on earth but we squander water by the bucketload. Recycling the 'grey' water and collecting rainwater in tanks makes a whole lotta sense but very few people do it ... hmmm Same applies to solar energy ... Interesting plot last night I happened to catch a bit of - a person who has always felt socially awkward and the way he described it was feeling as if other people had hold of a handbook which he never received ... hmmm, I can sure relate to THAT ... even now ... :) In the same episode, this dialogue: "I love your strength." "Of course you do. Everyone loves strong people ... because they never ask for anything. (But that doesn't mean they don't NEED anything." Check the ABC site for Aug 2nd ... see if any ref to Jean Houston interview. Sounded interestin but I didn't stay home to listen ... :) The roller-coaster continues. I suppose it's nothing new. I mean at some level I KNOW that poem about the habits of normal folk is laced with attack thoughts. Okay, maybe subtle digs or sarcasm but attack thoughts nonetheless. And attack thoughts are a symptom of drifting away from where you'd like to be because they simply do NOT manifest when I'm feeling buoyant and light ... hmmm And to feel them coming along and allow yourself to indulge in them is not healthy. And I know this beyond any doubt. So, one has to ask why it still happens. I'll admit it's awfully frustrating to watch things unfold in this dysfunctional environment and feel there's precious little you can do about it. With so many people (seemingly) living dreary, timid existences and never having the whatever to seriously question all the nonsense they was raised on ... Curiously, as I walked home from the shops, I was reminded of that line from Amy at the VICSERV conference around this time last year when she said she really started her recovery when she made the decision to embrace forgiveness rather than anger even though she felt she still had a LOT to be angry about ... the video is now available - click (or the publications page?) Yet, I do wrestle with it. There are times I feel that your average person is so mired in dysfunctional thought & behaviour patterns that there's no way they could change even if you could persuade them how dysfunctional their way of thought/life is ... and how do you even begin to do that without lapsing into being judgemental or smug or whatever ... A couple more interesting emails ... about subjects as seemingly diverse as lorikeets & astral travel, diet & thought, human behaviour & weather, Tai Chi & the beat of a different drummer, pets & the supernatural, psychosis & higher states of consciousness, global warming etc ... the usual ... :) betty6cc.html mark3.html - or I may rename it ... Had another quick look (Internet connections also dodgy lately - someone really is trying to tell me ...) at that 'journal of a young mystic' site - I have yet to fully explore the site (surprise, surprise) but a couple of the comments on his opening page stand out - 'Ever since my experience in Unity, I have had the passionate desire to dedicate and devote my talents to conveying The Experience to others' - 'God does not reserve the high vocation of mystical experience for certain souls only. On the contrary, He wants all to embrace it' ... yes, but how to do that is the BIG question ... ... plus dabbler & 2012 ... :) Then again, if it's all just a game ... what's there to worry about ... Feeling at bit of a loose end, received CWG Australia newsletter in email ... may upload it to dreamwater site ... click {IF I remember ...} The 'darkest hour meditation' sounds like something I could use from time to time ... :) Though, honestly, in MY darkest hours, meditation suddenly seems like total nonsense as does the idea that this world is the creation of a 'loving' being ... and there are times I do wonder if this will ever change. This Jeckyll & Hyde yo-yo I have experienced for a long, long , long time ... cwgactionaustralia.asn.au is the aussie website ... ... MUST remember to tell a couple of Aussies about it ... :) [ August 3, 2001 ' Another little trip into the city ... stoppped off to see the fishies and it looks like I'm too late for the '500 Nations' book. Pity, it's the kind of book that ought NOT to be out of print when you compare it with some of the pulp that sells (at the risk if making a judgement) ... and IF we could get an Aboriginal equivalent ... :) But the book quest was far from a wasted trip as I looked in a bargian bin and found 'The Cactus King' by Dimitri Gonis and read the first 40 pages in no time. Wonderful fable. Must transcribe or scan a few bits of it ... Pinochio, salmon, life's big questions, the Great Conductor ... :) Plus had a wander through the big stores and saw that the upcoming 'Voyager' episodes look interesting ... the videos are on sale before we've seen them on the telly ... Seems that predictions of a 'batsman's paradise' are somewhat askew ... click - can't recall the last time 17 fell on the first day ... let alone 7 for 54 by the 'invincible' batting lineup ... :) Ah yes, back to last evening, opened up CWG that was on the couch ... I'll send scans of page 99 & 63 ... to upadate this file - click - IF I remember ... I'm back online and seems that cwg action australia site is either the wrong address or not online yet ... oh well ... I suppose we'll survive somehow ... :) As I type up this journal, cricket continues to be a 'funny game' as a 50 partnership arrives for the 9th wicket ... :) And the 'saviour' has a very appropriate surname (hint: he bats number 7 and keeps wicket). The same surname as one of my 'adversaries' back in the 'old days' of haunting the Holysmoke message board ... :) Things have changed somwehat since then ... [ August 4, 2001 ' Picked up an old copy on 'Living Now' and another article by Ron Urquhart (who wrote that excellent piece 'Temporary Insanity') ... somethin else for me to transcribe ... :) After I do the excerpts from 'Cactus King' that is ... I just read the publishing details and it's a bit of a dillemma. On the one hand, I regard copyright & ownership as outmoded fear-based concepts yet it does state 'no paragraph may be reproduced without written permission' ... I suppose all the book excerpts at my site fall into that same category ... :) Yet, truly, on the other hand I would reckon a small taste would more than likely prompt people who would have remained totally unaware of the book's existence to seek out their own copy ... :) I suppose the warning in MAINLY for those seeking to make moolah from something they didn't author. Well, my motive is hardly monetary ... :) And as I type away, it's quite SCARY ... okay, there's no desert or cacti near me (though I saw some in a shop today :) but the overall description of Fritz in the first two pages is uncannily close to me ... so close it's unreal ... ... click to see what I mean ... {And it gets better once Sebastian comes along ... if I ever get around to typing those sections up ...} In fact, it's one of the best opening chapters I've ever read. Possibly because it's so close to home ?? Here's some random dialogue that popped into my head this morning as I did my shopping ... "I'd make a lousy parent. I have no interest whatsoever in manipulating or controlling the behaviour of others." Plus a couple of less than savoury thoughts ... e.g. "I can totally understand those who choose suicide. (The only thing wrong with this world is that those who should kill themselves generally don't & vice versa) It's the ultimate way of saying to parents & society, "FUCK YOU! If this is the way you operate, I want NO part of it whatsoever." Testing ... [ August 5, 2001 ' Interesting tip from 'Gardening Australia once again - to prevent insects crawling up and devouring fruit off trees, some vaporub applied to the lower trunk! :) The birds aren't stupid - they've already taken to perching on the half-dismantled wire fence around the times I often put the seed out ... :) ... ironically, given some of the stuff in 'Cactus King', they are mainly sparrows ... :) Looks like that 'game of the century' took a bit out of the participants ... they both lost last week and last night North kicked 3.18 ! what a contrast to two weeks ago (see journal for july 22 ... where they slotted 22.3 before 3/4 time ...) And after so many 'experts' saying it's a fait accompli and just hand the premiership cup to Essendon and the thought of them losing 1 in a row let alone 2 in a row ... well, 4 goals down versus the team which has been responsible for half of the four losses they've experienced in their past 58 games ... :) ... click Listening to the footy, I do decide to type up that Ron Urquhart article ... a LOT of it I can really relate to ... :) ... e.g. 'I desperately sought calm and wisdom but, like a moth drawn inescapably to the flame, the closer I got to my goal, the more I burned in the fire of resistance and confusion.' I think someone is trying to tell me something ... I was doing a spot of aimless channel surfing last evening and caught a bit of 'Dead poet's society', which i probly aint watched since seeing it in the cinemas around 1989. The section had a quote from Walt Whitman? along the lines of 'you may contribute a verse' ... should look up the actual passage next time I'm online ... :) ... and the next mroning I do just that ... click or here & a few others ... [ August 6, 2001 ' Wandered past a computer shop and happened to see The Way Things Work in a bargain bin and saw it was only five bucks ... okay, it may be 1994 vintage but that's one great bargain ... :) Interestingly enough, his latest CD is called ... wait for it ... The New Way Things Work ... :) Doubtless it's more whizz-bang than the original which was revolutionary when it first appeared ... Also doubtless it doesn't fully explain how EVERYTHING works ... :) Scribbled a few thoughts down on the way to the shops this morning but they're in a pocket in a pair of pants in another room, so you'll just have to be aptient ... something about society and people, no doubt ... Today's: "People love to believe in the medical explanations of their own lives." Latest issue of SHINE arrives - has 'How to heal yourself' as well as this list of characteristics of a mentally healthy person - click & scroll down to 'So what is mental health anyway?' - and the old latent cynic still within in me says I honestly have YET to meet a single person who comes remotely close to satisfying those ten characteristcs, sadly ... And one could say it's such an idealised 'standard' that it could even be counter=productive. If people who are struggling compare themselves with those lofty heights. And if that's what we EACH could be the question has to be asked as to why the vast majority throughout human history have been nowhere near it ... mum666b.html Curiously, here's something I just found scribbled down from a few days ago ... "I suppose that's what has characterised my life really. Ever since I was old enough to start asking these questions, I have felt that the so-called 'answers' which most folk settle for seem woefully inadequate to me. At times, this has driven me to the brink of madness ... and I can fully understand those who don't stop at the brink ..." [ August 7, 2001 ' Another poem marks my exit from a couple of very dodgy days ... Lesson 43 The damage of life is all an illusion So is your fear and doubt and confusion I was born before the universe even existed These ideas are nothing new but you've always resisted The world is based on some unknown binary code Some people seem to bear an unusually heavy load All of the things you think, see, do and say Are simply manifestations of spirits at play Miniaturisation is a seven-syllable word It's rarely been spoken and thus seldom heard Sometimes whispered between friends in your dreams And conveyed to your brain on unseen laser beams ... even posted it to both the ERMHA crew and the not-so-ERMHA crew ... :) Caught an interesting 'kids' show this morning called 'Stuff' ... they made fridgem magnets & a lava vase and a memory mobile all in about quarter of an hour ... their website apparently is here Saw an interesting advert in the local paper, 'How to drug-proof your kids' and I got to wondering ... I mean to even be thinking in those terms is a fear-based view of the world/reality/human nature/life and is probably doomed to failure if that's the approach ... yet most people would look aghast at the suggestion that the worry/protection/victim mentality is even questionable ... that there exists another way of viewing human experience etc ... May or may not have prompted some further random dialogue ... "If you think the purpose of life is to make yourself comfortable and safe, then you don't understand what reality is all about" "I seem to remember reading somewhere or other that the main reason most of us have little or no recollection of past lives is that we were so unloving and ungrateful in them that it's better not to carry those memories around with us in our conscious thoughts." Reading through a bit more of SHINE - some of Helen Dawson's stuff is spot on ... may transcribe portions - her thoughts on schizophrenia & compassion & joy & depression are right on the money ... thanx ... :) Should email Sami & see if there's an email or contact address ... Also the piece 'In case of Emergency' ... :) - echoes many of the thoughts I have had about the mental health 'system' and what 'ought' to be done ... & what to do if it's you whose 'reality is shifting' ... :) And maybe more importantly what to do (or NOT to do) if it's someone else ... I did have a couple of thoughts while experiencing the 'dark' side once more (well, more than just a couple! - it's the time my mind races outta control with a-million-thought-a-second and most aren't too charitable) ... you can only 'hurt someone's feelings' or upset them with your words/actions as long as they remain unawakened and one could just speculate that the shock might be just what it takes for them to wake themselves 'em up ... I do have a quirky way of looking at things, at times (some would use a word like warped or deranged rather than quirky ) Fun with deliverymen From one of those SHINE atricles ... it mentions Ann Margaret Sharp and 'a willingness to be transformed by the other' ... um I don't reckon that's a common approach in current mhs ... :) Anyways, it led me to this page Ah ... the 'Case of Emergency' was at the shamanism site ... I thought it sounded/looked vaguely familiar ... click :) Yes, a search for the phrase 'reality shifting strangely' tosses up some interesting results, some also look familiar ... :) Interesting discussion board ... Sent a couple of the SHINE links to the crew ... {assuming the board is still in existence when anyone reads theses words ...} Today's mantra: "Why am I the federal ombudsman of worlds" Then found this at an 'old' link ... :) Ahhhhh.... What a great post! I'm currently reading Krishnamurti "Freedom from the Known". What he is saying resonates with me completely. Your post also resonated with me completely. Really great stuff! "But to be beyond violence I cannot suppress it, I cannot deny it, I cannot say, 'Well, it is a part of me and that's that', or 'I don't want it'. I have to look at it, I have to study it, I must become very intimate with it and I cannot become intimate with it if I condemn it or justify it." -- Krishnamurti Freedom from the Known ... also a bit on gurus & teachers from Ram Dass ... and 'listen to your inner being' - I wonder what that will toss up ... :) Neurons in the news ... Not all of it exemplifies equanimity & nonjudgement & laying aside all attack thoughts but let's face it, as a species, such behaviour is as rare as hen's teeth ... and the current situation with mental health legislation and people operating from a basis of fear & worry at any sufficiently 'odd' behaviour (esp in their own offspring) is the raw material for a lotta tension & interplay, not all of which is likely to be measured & considered or even rational ... :) ... click here to see what I'm yabbering about ... Yes, they say that reality is an interpretation and lately it almost feels as if i am channeling every conceivable interpretation and not judging any as being 'better' than others ... :) Watching the nightly sports report on the telly, I reflected once again on those words from The Politics of Experience about non-competitive cultures and how shocked they are when they encounter our modus operandi ... and it occurs to me that ANY society based on the concept (& practice) of competition is an inherently unhealthy environment ... dysfunctional ... and will inevitably create an entire spectrum of 'casualties' as is evidenced by the current state of the world. How this could ever change seeing as how ingrained it is in our thinking & behaviour is SOME question ... [ August 9, 2001 ' Seems they finally amended this page to include a few of my suggestions like gibberish, Zukav, Yeshe, CWG, Ricketts, Buddhanet, cartoons, etc ... even 'sites for sore minds' ! ... and browsing down that page - 'We created Ourselves from Outside Cosmos' sounds worthy of a gander ... :) Red centre links - from email exchanges - Sunset over Uluru The Red Centre Uluru Oz outback - experience the real Australia - some nice email postcards & photos ... ... should add them to my 'Planet Oz' collection of linkages ... :) Ah, finally access to Angelfire site! and now i have to figure out which links have been altered and which is the more up-to-date version ... a webmaster's work is never done ... :) Plus 2012 ... squirrels ... raccoons ... Patience is a virtue we have great difficulty acquiring in this hustle-bustle world. Even when we consciously embrace our spiritual path, it is very com- mon for people to backslide when they perceive their spiritual growth isn't happening fast enough, when all of the questions aren't answered NOW!!! This week, while dealing with that complaint from someone, the thought of a time-lock vault came to mind. Adopted years ago as a fail-safe measure to keep a bank employee from opening a locked vault under duress, the opening time is programmed into the lock before it is closed for the night. Once set, this time lock cannot be over-ridden by anyone, and there is no way to open the vault before that time arrives. It occurred to me that Divine Intelligence guides our spiritual growth in a similar manner. Just as we require certain courses to prepare for higher educa- tion in our school system, Divine Intelligence seems to require strong founda- tions for our spiritual lessons. With our limited human perspective, we may think that we are ready to know something, yet no matter how much we implore Holy Spirit, the answer doesn't come at what we consider the appro- priate time ... And if so, why do we do it ... OK, here's some stuff I scribbled down yesterday ... It's just about springtime here in Australia - the first tentative buds are beginning to appear on some of the leafless trees. It won't be long before the magpies start breeding and if you happen to be walking under a tree where they are nesting you could be subject to one of their kamikaze dives ... :) As I watched the fishies yesterday, I had that curious thought I've had so many times before ... it's as if I am merely a remote-controlled camera for an alien civilisation. My eyes and ears are devices to record the many & varied idiosyncrasies of the human population and I merely observe it all with a mixture of detachment and amusement ... And who knows. Maybe I am. :) Standing in a queue outside the doorway to the rides ... it occurs to me to compare it with death. Today's: "I used to believe in all the federal opportunities of the famous mornings. We all live inside the famous mornings of our lives." Plus some other stuff from emails etc I may transfer into here if you all behave yourselves ... :) aug2001.html Testing ... [ August 15, 2001 ' Latish last night, while going over those old disks & files, found a couple of interesting text files I aint viewed in a long time, from the old BBS days ... one is on OOBE, the other is on Tibetan Buddhism ... and mentions Autralia! - and the Australian folk-soul and the expression ... wait for it ... 'New paradigm' ... :) And these files date back to 1992 & the Zoist BBS ... Click here for the Tibetan Buddhism stuff and scroll down to 'New Paradigm' ... Click here for the oobe stuff - interesting ... {That's IF I remember to upload the files in question ...} Amazingly! The brief excerpt from the oobe forum ... mentions an 'upcoming' book by Bob Monroe ... called ... 'Ultimate Journey'. How's that for a coincidink! Click for yet another forum ... :) - I like the bit about 'absence of light in others' - something I need to bear in mind more ... :) Had to re-upload that 'Messiah Complex' scan again ... hmmm ... and IF it still isn't working, try clicking here Overheard about this 'debate' on the news - click - in all the bluster & posturing, I don't hear anyone arguing the situation from the sheep's point of view ... we're so arrogant in how we IMPOSE our will on other beings - livestock, pets, children, those who dare to depart from normality ... native peoples ... horse racing ... the truly SAD thing is hardly anybody EVEN thinks to ask 'permission' ... and then they're so amazed when it all backfires ... sheesh ... From yesterday - Matrix as Messiah movie - makes some interesting parallels and a discussion board which I glanced at ever so briefly ... :) Today's mantra: "I am the internal credibility of life" July 2001 Journal Menu August 16th on J Back to main page
More climatology sites

Oh yes, the other book is of course The Visionary Human - updated version - continued total NON-access to Angelfire, so if you are reading these words, you either have fabulous ESP or I have changed some links to point to dreamwater instead of angelfire. Or ... angelfire has finally corrected its problems and allowed me to upload again ... ah, the joys of cyberspace ... In fact, it just dawns on me that I would have to alter each & every reference to 'Back to my home page' ... sheee! on each book excerpt, article, poem ... that's a whole lotta work ... :) Today's mantra: "Careful directions of the world. Careful dimensions of the lifetimes."

Well, the canary seed mixture is proving quite popular with the birds. Curiously, as I walked home from the shops, I was reminded of that line from Amy at the VICSERV conference around this time last year when she said she really started her recovery when she made the decision to embrace forgiveness rather than anger even though she felt she still had a LOT to be angry about ... the video is now available - click (or the publications page?) A couple more interesting emails ... about subjects as seemingly diverse as lorikeets & astral travel, diet & thought, human behaviour & weather, Tai Chi & the beat of a different drummer, pets & the supernatural, psychosis & higher states of consciousness, global warming etc ... the usual ... :) betty6cc.html mark3.html - or I may rename it ... On the contrary, He wants all to embrace it' ... yes, but how to do that is the BIG question ... ... plus dabbler & 2012 ... :) Then again, if it's all just a game ... what's there to worry about ... :)

But the book quest was far from a wasted trip as I looked in a bargian bin and found 'The Cactus King' by Dimitri Gonis and read the first 40 pages in no time.

After I do the excerpts from 'Cactus King' that is ...

The birds aren't stupid - they've already taken to perching on the half-dismantled wire fence around the times I often put the seed out ... :) ... ironically, given some of the stuff in 'Cactus King', they are mainly sparrows ... :)

Looks like that 'game of the century' took a bit out of the participants ... they both lost last week and last night North kicked 3.18 ! what a contrast to two weeks ago (see journal for july 22 ... where they slotted 22.3 before 3/4 time ...) And after so many 'experts' saying it's a fait accompli and just hand the premiership cup to Essendon and the thought of them losing 1 in a row let alone 2 in a row ... well, 4 goals down versus the team which has been responsible for half of the four losses they've experienced in their past 58 games ... :) ... click Listening to the footy, I do decide to type up that Ron Urquhart article ... a LOT of it I can really relate to ... :) ...

Interestingly enough, his latest CD is called ... wait for it ... At times, this has driven me to the brink of madness ... and I can fully understand those who don't stop at the brink ..."

Walking home from th shops again the little cogs started spinning and I wrote some stuff that could well form the basis of a longer piece.

Here's that Gibran essay I mentioned ...
Interesting day or two ... one way or anudder ... Hmmm ... that 2012 site also has Tai Chi section ... the coincidinks just keep on keeping on ... :) Interesting adaptation of 'Turn of the Screw' by Rusty Lemorande. I'd fogotten much of the plot & dialogue in that book we studied at school ... Sepilok The home swap story sounded interesting ... click Turn ofthe screw ditto Found one site that likes that quote about the 'loaf of bread' ... click. Their reading room looks worthy of a potter around ... as do so many ... :) AFter seeing a free book offer on the telly, forgot to note the address - it was channel 31 ... found this interesting CS Lewis discussion board ... Wrote a wee bit more to yesterday's piece ... I have them scribbled down somewhere ... I More about Sepilok On yesterday's topic of prophecy ... found this little discussion where both sides make some interesting points ... how's that for remianing impartial ... :) Yes, if a document is ancient and claims that an event 2000 years ago fulfilled a prophecy 1000 years before that ... strictly speaking the guy who point out this in NON verifiable is correct ... :) Mother Shipton links Caught the tail end of another Zukav broadcast ... (or at least his contribution to it) ... so spot on and simple you think yeah ... why do we not heed the message ... about guilt & blame & shame & forgiveness ... Had a bit of a look at this site - What I have read {since 1974} A few more Zukav links ... Plus wrote a couple more poems just for fun ... another mentioning gary comes from this little search ... Plus I like this one - click - especially the SQ idea ... and the quote 'with the development of nuclear weaponry and technology, heroism has to be redefined as developing the power not to blow up in hatred. That... is the Dalai Lama's teaching to the planet' Added 'Is' by Dennis Krum to my 'sites 4 sore minds' ... Here's a link to that video of 'Prophecy & Prediction' - click & scroll down to 'Ronnie Burns' - seems the actual site they initially set up is no longer being maintained From the 'Is' book ...

With our limited human perspective, we may think that we are ready to know something, yet no matter how much we implore Holy Spirit, the answer doesn't come at what we consider the appro- priate time ...
Here's a link to that video of 'Prophecy & Prediction' - click & scroll down to 'Ronnie Burns' - seems the actual site they initially set up is no longer being maintained From the 'Is' book ... Testing ... Here's that poem I was talking about - {Working title - 'How was your day honey'} My mind wanders in psychotic directions Seeking a cure for all our infections I think that men have got to believe In ten golden onions and finally receive ... Ask me about any of the current popular renditions While glossy magazines churn out their latest editions Most people seek pleasure or comfort via additions They would seem to be doing this of their own volition What are your payments in dollars and cents In a world that often makes very little sense Run off to your cave and burn some incense The aroma is wonderful and worth the expense I have a mantra suitable for every occasion To soothe the soul after it latest abrasion What is your favourite blending of the world In one of your past lives you were a little girl Why are the medical arrangements of men Guaranteed by angels again and again ... to be continued (reminds me of Zukav & a recent email - that analogy of a single lifetime and the 'serials' the cinemas had before the telly was invented ... :) I ought to plug 'Zukav to be continued episode your life larger picture' into Google next time I'm connected ... Should paste the above into one of my poems file at some stage ... Also heard that story about the Turtle & scorpion ... must remember to look that up next time I'm online ... Today's: 'People give me the beautiful irritations of my life' {could also be inserted into a poem at some stage} Sayonara for today ... sleep tight ...

Ask me about any of the current popular renditions While glossy magazines churn out their latest editions Most people seek pleasure or comfort via additions They would seem to be doing this of their own volition
What are your payments in dollars and cents In a world that often makes very little sense Run off to your cave and burn some incense The aroma is wonderful and worth the expense
I have a mantra suitable for every occasion To soothe the soul after it latest abrasion What is your favourite blending of the world In one of your past lives you were a little girl
Why are the medical arrangements of men Guaranteed by angels again and again

Plus ... 'The Galactic Federation' and its Cosmic Cube page ... then again, that is THE huge question - why is there that part of us that resists, that laughs at such suggestions as 'too good to be true' ... Flip-flop for Kangaroos continues ... this week they boot 21.5 !! Then again, they had played the 3 top sides in consecutive weeks ... BTW, the numbers I used for tonight's Tattslotto (from one of my email correspondents :) - 3, 13, 29, 35, 37, 41 & 20, 12 ... Here's something I scribbled down on my way to the shops this morning ... "If you want to make yourself unhappy, here's a foolproof method. Simply focus your attention on the (perceived) flaws in other human beings you may encounter and then generate some unkind & uncompassionate labels to attach to them. It works every time. I know this from direct personal experience." {The ACTUAL nos were - 12, 20, 31, 33, 34, 44 ... hmmm}

Spring must be just on the horizon. A few days this week around 17 or 18 (even 19) Celsius ... so, I thought I might take myself off to the aquarium andsee what the little fishies is up to ... amy even take my camera this time ... ... and i end up doing just that and scribbled down quite a few musings and took a few snapshots as well ... click? for one of the signs at the aquarium that caught my eye ... IF I remember to upload that is ... In case I don', or it's illegible to your eyes, it reads: 'Be careful. Stay away from the shadows! Strange, hungry things live there. If you get too close, your luck will run out. Down here, seeing isn't everything, sometimes it's what you can't see that's most dangerous. Take a survival tip from the experts - stay on the bright side and leave the dark side alone.' {It was posted next to the tank with the crabs, crays, eels etc} ---> I took a photo of the crayfush in the 'rubbish bin' ... next time, I'll use a flash! Yet more of Gary ... Ought to write down the quote from Plutarch abt dolphins - on a poster I saw in the aquarium shop ... :) Nice reggae exhibition in the museum - and how Bob Marley was a kind of 'archetypal redeemer' figure ... Some Plutarch links ... The museum also had a new exhib of the wonderful nature photographs of Esther Beaton - I loved the close ups of the eucalypts & the sugar gliders ... :)

Actually, a lot of what I scribbled down will probly be added to that piece I mentioned a couple of days ago ... okay, it's not all Bob Marley - natural mystic The reggae exhibition also spoke of conscious music ... Also read an article about this site - click - yes, getting angry means you don't yet realise how the universe operates and that you attract that which you fear ... Plus read some more stuff about souls choosing paths etc and how we lose sight of that at times ... ?? And I gotta admit at times it all seems to me people grasping at straws rather than truly seeing ' the perfection of the universe'. I mean if we all saw it that way, a whole heap of adjectives would disappear from the language ... I mean just last week I was back (momentarily) to the old me that thinks this stuff is a load of codswallop, so who the heck am I to say anythink at all ... ... and if it doesn't work 'in the crunch', one has to wonder ... Late in the day, checked the heal normality crew and the GWBASIC was well received, so posted this ... Yes, those programs were QUITE different on the old 386 ... before I'd ever heard of the internet ... Even played my old version of mastermind I wrote for GWBASIC. Keeps the old grey cells ticking over ... Even briefly caught a bit of a program abt the poet John Forbes ... :)

Yet, it's a good question - do we manufacture (or create) all this urgency, drama & conflict? Once you know what to expect n the other side, you can enjoy the ride ... :) Ah yes, found a Lobsang page yesterday when not even looking for it - aint explored it a whole lot just yet - click Must transcribe some of that dialogue from 'Holy Man' - quite a funny movie! He asked a question along the lines of whether you'd rather be the baywatch babe or the Dalai Lama. Sure the baywatch babe is hot and gets all the attention from the opposite sex but the Dalai Lama has tue inner peace & contentment ... :) More evidence of compassion in action ... oh Geoff, you are wicked ... :) More from recent emails - Hopi prophecy Mother Shipton Hopi survival kit ... and a few others which I may stick in tomorrow's journal but I'm pooped. It's 1 A.M. and I'm off to bed. Sweet dreams.
