Welcome to the INTO 8MM FILM Site.

This is the umpteenth incarnation of a site that first started out as an experiment, about four years ago. Back then as an Australian, I found it difficult to find information relevent to my needs.

That became the catalyst for this site. All the bits of information that I picked up from the web, old magazines, and various people, have been distilled into these pages. I do not claim to be the font of all knowledge on things 8mm. The aim is to provide the uninitiated with a clear and as consise as I can, explanation on various aspects of 8mm film and film making in general.

For those of you who are just starting out I hope this site proves to be be of some value in your 8mm education. Think of it as the first step in a long journey where you will experience many joys and lots of frustration.

To those of you who have long been active in the 8mm scene, I hope this will at least provide a stepping stone towards more advanced sites, situated around the globe.

Unfortunately due to time constraints, I am unable to implement a Blog site, or Web forum. However, I will endevour to keep it as fresh and relevant as time permits me to. Keep an eye on the Right Hand Side for the latest developments, and their implications.
