The Promise
I affirmed and prayed -
"I can do it! I am in Your image! I can surrender!
But why my distress, my confusion, my anger?
I know that all that You are, I can be,
For God is in she, he, and equally in me."
And You answered -
"This I have promised, and so shall it be,
A process that happens throughout eternity.
Some want it gentle; some like it steep.
The Pathway was yours for you to meet and to keep.
And the choice now is yours as it always has been,
Resistance or joy, as you are keen.
I watch from the aisle and from afar,
Loving and helping, reflecting the you that you are.
I tell you so often by all of My signs,
Remain by My side and I will always be thine.
God never has left you; I walk in your stride,
Observing and loving, through the eyes of each child.
Believe more I am with you each moment of life;
Live full of joy, not full of strife.
One day you will know when you open your eyes,
It is in opening your own heart, you see through My eyes.
That day is soon in the span of the All,
Because of your service, love, and My Call.
And as you awaken, your surrendered alignment is ever easier and higher,
Giving you joy, bliss and a promise- My world IS your world, and your home from the mire."

PS I am right handed and before sunrise one morning, I meditatively put a pen in my left hand and this poem flowed through it in about ten minutes. It illustrates the miraculous power of surrender to omnipresent divinity.
