Special Teachers

In the course of our lives we meet numerous people and interact with them to a lesser or greater extent. Any which cause a major expansion of one's consciousness can be called Special Teachers. In my case, my earliest special teachers were definitely my mother and family doctor who welcomed me into this world with such love and care, then my younger brother who always has been and is my best friend. At school I had some gifted teachers who helped me much more than they had to. In particular, I remember maths, science, music and art teachers who have all instilled in me lifelong joys in the subjects they taught.

A school friend's family was also a Special Teacher. Their unceasing kindness and generosity taught me what a Christian family can be like- always presenting a warm welcome, food to share, and a friendly ear. Then in my adult life I had further special teachers who gave me insights- my yoga teachers, some church ministers, several bosses and colleagues at work (they taught me professionalism, diligence and work ethics). My wife and children have been very Special Teachers. (There is nothing to match the intensity of close family life as a rapid learning environment!)

And in my sleep, occasionally as needed I have been fortunate to receive guidance and correction from dream figures that must be considered Special Teachers.

In 2002, my wife and I were especially fortunate to meet Louix Dor Dempriey who revealed to us such love, patience, attention and wisdom that we know him as a truly Special Teacher. His wisdom may also suit you, so check his web site www.Louix.org.

I hope you are fortunate to have met many special teachers in your life.
