Welcome to my Web site!Hello my name is [John (aka Boyzo)] and I am from [Melbourne]... My boyhood home in Edinburgh Current Melbourne home in Melbourne What makes me tick well this web site should help you to determine this, but I should add that I am one for perfection in anything be it Design, Music, Architecture, Furniture, Cars, the Environment, read Robyn Boyd's book "The Great Australian Ugliness" and you will be part way to understanding me. If you want some dry facts well, at 16 I left secondary school in Melbourne, took up a junior position with Philips ELA. (electro-acoustics) in Melbourne. Later I attended the RMIT (institute of technology) to study engineering part time. Three jobs later I took up a position with Varian to help design the revolutionary "Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers, this was by far my most challenging role, a downturn saw me leave and and try three further employers - but all soured in some way. In 1979 I decided to form my own company and offer my services, this proved very challenging and overall very satisfying, the first role was with Rank Industries and helped design the Concert Hall and Play box theatre loudspeakers and some stage equipment. Various clients came along one by one and provided very challenging work and an insight into many industries and processes. A partner ship with a home-wares electrical manufacturer Arlec provided some challenges in the plastic product area and a change from the more heavy engineering work. CAD arrived and new tools to learn with of course the PC the internet collaboration a huge jump from paper and pencil and so we are now up to date in 2002.
